What Zudo Works is
Zudo Works is a manufacturing operations system for small and mid-sized shops: sheet-metal and machine shops, fabricators, assemblers, electronics and plastics producers, food and pharma packers. It runs in the browser, works on the phone and installs as an app, and keeps every number traceable to a posted document.
The promise in one paragraph. You keep a clean list of the items you buy, stock and make. Every receipt, issue, transfer and adjustment is posted to an append-only stock ledger, so balances are always exactly what the documents say and stock can never go negative. Each item carries a moving-average cost, so when you issue material to a job the job is costed at the real price you paid. Bills of materials describe what goes into a part, revision by revision; work orders plan the material, take it from stock, record labour and show the real cost per unit. Around that core sit customers and sales orders (with stock reservations), vendors and purchase orders (receiving posts stock), a one-level MRP that tells you what to buy, and work centres with routing steps. On top of the core, a low-code platform lets you add your own forms, link them to items and customers, automate them with workflows and chart anything on dashboards — without a developer.
What it is not. Zudo Works is not a general ledger or an accounting package, not a payroll system, and not a full finite-capacity scheduler. It gives those systems clean, costed data through its API and webhooks.
Who uses it
| Role | What they do in Zudo Works |
|---|---|
| Owner | Sets up the workspace, invites the team, defines roles, designs forms and dashboards, manages billing. |
| Supervisor | Maintains items and BOMs, raises and runs work orders, handles sales and purchasing, builds dashboards. |
| Storekeeper | Receives, issues, transfers and adjusts stock; issues and returns job material; photographs and signs. |
| Custom roles | Anything in between — a Quality inspector who only fills custom forms, an Accountant who only reads reports. |
| Integrator | Uses API keys and webhooks to connect accounting, e-commerce or BI tools. |
| Zudo support (super-admin) | Suspends or reactivates workspaces, sets plans and custom limits, impersonates an owner to help. |
