- Sidebar. Groups by module. Hover a module link to reveal [F] Form (the custom forms linked to that module, plus "New form…") and [R] Report (opens the module page with its saved reports). Collapse it to icons with the button at the bottom; on tablets it collapses by itself, on phones it becomes a drawer behind the ☰ button. Custom forms and dashboards that an owner "placed" appear here under the chosen group or a custom group.
- Top bar. Workspace name, global search (
/), the view-mode switch, notifications, help (?), theme toggle and your avatar menu (theme, density, What's new, support, feedback, profile photo, sign out). - Banners. Trial days left ("Free Startup Trial: 173 days left"), usage warnings at 80 % and 100 %, grace period, cancellation.
- Workspace tabs. Open several records (jobs, orders, items) as tabs and switch between them.
- Breadcrumb. Click a crumb to jump up; the dropdown on a crumb lists sibling pages.
- Content area. The only scrolling region. Long pages have an "On this page" scroll-spy.
View modes
The switch in the top bar changes which controls the UI shows — never the data.
| Mode | Who sees it | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | everyone | The product as is. |
| Edit | settings.manage | Pencils beside built-in sections (rename, icon, description); the home dashboard customise bar; journey editing. |
| Design | forms.design or dashboards.manage | Form / Report buttons always visible; designers one click away. |
| Workflow | workflows.manage | A Workflows button on list pages and in the top bar. |
The chosen mode is remembered per browser. Edit and Workflow mode show only what can be changed: record tables (items, orders, form records …) step aside for a card that says records are hidden, with a Back to Normal button; lists of the structure itself (reports, workflows, schedules, imports) stay. Design mode keeps the data in view.
Search and the command palette
/focuses the search box; Ctrl/⌘ K opens the command palette: pages, actions, and recently opened records.Gthen a letter jumps:G Ddashboard,G Iitems,G Wwork orders,G Mmovements,G Uusers,G Ssettings.Npresses the page's New button; Ctrl/⌘ S saves the open form;?shows the shortcut cheat-sheet. See Appendix C.
Tables
Every list page uses the same table: click a header to sort (Shift-click for a second key), Filter rows with conditions (and/or), Columns to show, hide, reorder, pin and resize, Views to save a filter+column set for yourself or the team (and make one the default), Export to CSV, Excel or PDF (visible columns, current order), select rows for bulk actions, expand a row for details, edit a status inline, and switch some lists to Kanban, calendar, tree, timeline or heatmap views. On phones rows become cards with swipe actions.
Help on every page
Press ? in the top bar: a one-line purpose, the page's FAQs, common tasks and a guided tour (dashboard, items, jobs, movements, users, settings). What's new in the avatar menu lists recent releases. The feedback tab on the right edge sends a bug report or idea with a screenshot and the page context to the Zudo team.
