Image, images and video fields
Three field types hold files:
- Image — one picture (PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF; 5 MB by default, up to 8 MB).
- Images — several pictures (10 by default, up to 20), in the order you arrange them.
- Video — one video (MP4, WebM or MOV) up to 20 MB, shown with a poster frame.
Add them in the form builder (palette → Image, Images or Video); the field settings set the number of images, the size limit per file and the accepted formats. They work on custom forms and as custom fields on every built-in form (not inside subform rows).
Filling them in:
- Drop files on the field, click it to choose files, or on a phone press Camera.
- A preview shows at once (pictures as thumbnails, a video as a small player) while a progress bar shows the upload. Wrong types, files that are too big and too many images are refused on the spot with a message.
- Remove a file with ×, replace it by choosing another, and reorder images by dragging them or with the arrow buttons. Save the record.
- A video over 20 MB (a long phone video) is not refused: the page asks "This video is 104 MB. Compress it to under 20 MB and upload?". Yes compresses it in your browser (it takes about as long as the video plays; a progress bar shows how far it is and Cancel stops it), then plays the compressed video so you can check it before Upload. If it is still too big, Compress more makes it smaller again. No cancels.
Seeing them: tables and reports show a small thumbnail (+N when there are more; videos show their poster with a play mark), and quick views, record details and the detail layout show every file. Click a thumbnail to open the viewer: full-size pictures with zoom, ← / → (or swipe on a phone) between the pictures of the field, videos in a player you can seek; Esc closes it. On a phone the viewer fills the screen.
Files are kept in durable storage, count toward your plan's file storage, and only people who may see the record see them. A file removed from a record — or the record, the field or the form deleted — is removed from storage too; uploads never saved with a record are removed after a day. CSV exports write the files' links; CSV imports skip image and video fields (upload the files in the form). Zudo AI can add image and video fields to a form, but cannot upload or look at files.
