Zudo Works

Custom fields on every form

Every form in Zudo Works can take your own fields: your custom forms and every built-in form — items, units, warehouses, stock movements, BOMs, jobs, work centres, customers, vendors, sales orders and quotes, purchase orders, deliveries, invoices, credit notes, vendor bills, vendor credits, chart of accounts, manual journals, expenses, fixed assets, leads, deals, campaigns, contacts, activities, inspections, NCRs and CAPAs. Sections added later get them too.

  1. Open the section (for example Stock › Movements) and switch to Edit mode.
  2. Use the section's Edit dialog → Edit form fields, or the Design these fields link under the form (it is there even before the first custom field). The form builder opens on the section's custom-field form.
  3. Add fields of any type — text, numbers, dates, dropdowns, lookups, subforms, Image, Images and Video — and Save.

The fields appear in the section's form (saved together with the record), as columns of its list (filterable and exportable like the built-in columns), in its quick view or detail, in reports, charts and dashboards (as ext_<field> columns where the section has a dataset), in workflow conditions, lookup filters and validation rules, and Zudo AI sees them. Locked records (a posted movement, an issued invoice, a released BOM, a posted journal) show their custom values read-only. Removing a custom field removes it from reports and charts as well.
